Post-Quantum Cryptography Explained: The New Standard for 2026 Security

Everything you need to know about post-quantum cryptography, NIST standards, and how to implement it before quantum computers arrive.

Content
Post-quantum cryptography (PQC) uses mathematical problems that even quantum computers cannot solve efficiently. NIST has already standardized three key algorithms: CRYSTALS-Kyber (key encapsulation), CRYSTALS-Dilithium (digital signatures), and FALCON. These will replace RSA and ECC in TLS, VPNs, email encryption, and code signing. Migration is not optional — it is urgent. Hybrid cryptography (combining classical and PQC) is the safest transition path for the next 3–5 years.
NIST-approved PQC algorithms like Kyber and Dilithium are the only proven defense against future quantum attacks.
Implement hybrid cryptography now to maintain compatibility while gaining quantum resistance.
